Schloss Biebrich is a very likable fresh and elegant sparkling wine with a dry finish. It is the secondary label of the famous German sparkling wine HENKELL TROCKEN, produced by the prestigious Henkell & Co. In order to get the lightness and tartness necessary for a Sekt wine, the producer searches the Mittelrhein, lower Moselle, and upper reaches of the Saar. The wines are then blended and bottled usually between March and May. A little bit of Liqueur de Tirage is added along with the yeast to provide the elements necessary for a second fermentation. Most sparkling wines carry no vintage, but are usually aged a minimum of one year.
